If you are wondering how a bathroom vanity is going to change the perception of a bathroom, think about this. When you walk into a bathroom, besides the actual toilet, you most likely are going to notice the mirror as you wash your hands. In fact, the bathroom mirror is the one object that is going to be at eyelevel throughout your visitor’s entire experience.

Thus, you need to buy a bathroom vanity that you would be proud to display anywhere else in your house. Since more than likely your guests will visit your bathroom, the style and feel inside the bathroom is just as important as any other location of your house if you want your guests to admire your special decorating touch.

Before you choose your vanity mirror, you need to decide what you want your house theme to be, is it warm and inviting? It is easy to pull that theme into the bathroom area of your house if you choose the right bathroom vanity and color scheme. For example, earthy colors are almost always warm and can bring that warmth into your cold porcelain bathroom. Plus, earth colors fit in well with mineral and stone work, which may very well be the floor of your bathroom so they will fit in nicely.

A bathroom vanity that is made with natural oak trimming will nicely fit into a bathroom that has natural wood trimmings as well. Of course, you do not have to use oak; simply match the trimming of your mirror with the trimming of the wood. For extra spice, you can choose a mirror that has gold tracing along the glass as well.

To help set off the warm theme along with the bathroom vanity, you might consider purchasing small wooden trim towel holders to place on either side of the mirror. Depending on the size of your wall you may decide to simply choose one longer towel holder with the same wooden theme. Red and green colors are wonderful earthy colors to contrast with the wood and make your theme more cohesive. Small candle holders that hold potpourri jars are also nice accents to place alongside the mirror.

However, you do not want to crowd the area, so it simply is going to come down to you and the amount of space you have to decide how many accessories are appropriate to your bathroom vanity. The idea is you not only bring out the mirror, but you also allow the vanity to bring out the natural trimming of the room.
