How To Select Fun Bedding For Your Kids
Monday, November 24th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedI really think your children are pretty fortunate. You’re determined to make his or her bedroom into something fanciful, fun and inventive. When I was a kid, of course we got the basics… blankets, pillows and of course a bed. But nothing at all like the fashionable bedding for children that’s for sale nowadays. When you think about it, it’s quite surprising that there are so many different themes for kids bedding. It doesn’t need to be, if you can narrow your selections a tiny bit to start with.
First of all is your child a boy or a girl…?
Usually, little girls bedding tends to come in colors that are softer like shades in pink orange green and yellow. Normally they’ll be thrilled with bedding seems that center on puppies and other baby animals, flowers, hearts, ballerinas and things along these lines. If your child is a little bit too young to tell you her feelings about what she’d like, then kind of go by what her personality is like and I’m positive you’ll make the right choice for childrens bedding she’ll adore.
Why not go ahead and let her help you pick out her bedding — it’ll be fun for both of you. You really want her to love her new bedroom, right…?
If you are selecting bedding for a boy, you’ll be happy at the hundreds of themes designed especially for them — from construction, space exploration, cars, trucks and more — you’ll find the neatest bedding for boys anywhere right on the Web.
I’d tend to stick with brand named bedding. Why do I say that…..? They’ve got a hard earned reputation for better quality that invloves paying attention to details like seams and selecting superior fabrics for your kids bedding that will hold up through lots of use, and that are safe and durable too. Brand-name companies need to keep their hard won reputation so they will pay more attention to these details than no name off brands.
Brand names you might be familiar with:
Laura Ashley
Dan River Bedding
DwellKids
When you’ve decided on the kind of motif you would like, then later you can add some fun optional accessories to your child’s bedroom to complete the theme. Usually you’ll be able to pick from coordinating or matching accessories like this:
cute little area rugs
lamps with shades
covers for light switches
cute wall border accents
plush or stuffed toys
storage containers
window treatments.. like valance and drapes
shelves
chairs
You don’t have to just stick with what may come as an optional accessory either. Feel free to use whatever beloved items you want- like that rocker or dresser you love. The idea is to have fun and create a room that your children will love to pass time playing in and dreaming in.
