Turn Your House into a Palace

I am fascinated by the interior decoration of the forts and castles and envy the life that the royals living there had. I visited the forts of India and the castles in Ireland while I was on holidays. It is a visual treat to visit these places and enjoy the beauty and majesty of the buildings.

A visit to these places will make you feel like you are in paradise (though, I must admit that I have not visited paradise). Each item that you see in the castles is so artistic and fabulous that you wish you had acquired at least one such item and place it in your home. The royals used to have the items gathered from around the world and display it in their palaces to exhibit their passion for artistic items. Art pieces on the wall, big chandeliers, hand-crafted wooden chairs and tables, gold plated candle stands, desk clocks, and the list goes on… All these items collectively bring the palace a great charm.

In the modern world, it is quiet easy to obtain the items to decorate your home, as the commerce and trade have flourished sans boundaries. You do not have to shell out huge money to buy a beautiful decorative piece. A small perforated metal wrapper around a bulb could also increase the beauty of your home many times, during the night. The light that comes out of the gaps could create a pattern of shades and light in your living room or bedroom. It brings charm to your house as well as enjoyment to your children. Another not so expensive option is to buy an art deco wall clocks to decorate your drawing rooms and living area.

If you have made up your mind to decorate your house with a few art pieces, then, first thing that you have to do is go to the local market and browse through the available items. You can bargain and buy a good number of fabulous looking decorative items without spending a lot of money. Also, if you are in touch with your friends who live in other parts of your city or in other cities of your country, then, you can ask them to bring items that are available in their area. In this way, you can get what you want without spending a lot of money and compromise on the quality.
